KUCSA-CBO Announces 2026 Elections Calendar and Vacant Positions
The Kakamega Universities and Colleges Students’ Association (KUCSA-CBO) has officially released the elections calendar for its 2026 general elections and advertised vacant elective positions.
According to a memorandum from the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC), the election timeline is as follows:
15th – 22nd October 2026: Application period
22nd – 23rd October 2026: Verification of details
24th – 30th October 2026: Campaign period
31st October 2026: Election Day
The positions available include Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson, Secretary General, Deputy Secretary General, Treasurer, Organizing Secretary, Publicity Secretary, Internal Auditor, and Sub-County Council Members (one per Sub-County).
Eligibility requirements include:
Must be a registered member of KUCSA-CBO
Must be a student from Kakamega County
Chairperson and Secretary General must have a running mate of the opposite gender
Sub-County Members must come from the specific Sub-County they wish to represent
Application fees:
Application Fee: KSh 100
Registration Fee for non-members: KSh 100
Total for non-registered: KSh 200
Payments are to be made via M-Pesa Paybill 52533, Account No. 7786101.
Interested candidates are required to send their full names, institution, Sub-County, position vied for, ID number and M-Pesa code via WhatsApp to 0748 388 430.
