Likuyani — The latest Auditor-General report reveals that only 48% of the education infrastructure budget in Likuyani NG-CDF was utilized in the 2024/2025 financial year.
Out of Ksh 205,036,597 allocated, only Ksh 98,913,797 was spent on classrooms and administration blocks.
At the same time, Ksh 46.28 million was disbursed as bursary, benefiting:
4,600 secondary students
1,400 tertiary students
The report indicates that over 40 classrooms and 2 administration blocks were constructed.
However, the gap between allocation and actual spending raises questions about:
Delayed projects
Incomplete works
Unequal distribution across wards
❓ Questions on the Ground:
Which schools are still waiting for promised classrooms?
Why was nearly half the infrastructure budget not used?
Are some projects stalled or yet to begin?
